T'lakshi's Fun Facts

• T'lakshi has a necklace of her mother that she is never seen without, a simple silver chain with a matching pendant of the symbol of Oschon. Her mother admired him greatly, hoping to one day experience the same wanderlust he is known for. That appreciation and worship of Oschon then passed to her daughter, and she keeps that necklace with her always, to keep both her mother and Oschon close.• She is part of a research and cataloging division known as F.I.E.L.D., AKA the Fellowship of Inquiry, Exploration, Lore and Discovery. Her peers consists of 3 scholars, Magigi, Parcemel, and Zdravko, each with their own specialized field of study. She plays the role as the collector of their specimens and data, with her superior, Magigi, taking charge over where she goes and what she is tasked to obtain for their division.

Basic Backstory

Born and raised in Gridania, T'lakshi had a very simple and quiet childhood. Her family was on the poorer side, with her father absent, and her mother struggling with chronic illness as she worked hard to keep themselves afloat. With the minimal gil they had, they had never left the Shroud, much less traveled very far outside the safety of their city. During her younger years, she met a gleaner that had stopped by the Twelveswood for specimen collection and data gathering. She watched their work with curious eyes, and they, in turn, were happy to introduce her to the world of the study of flora and fauna, taking her out into the nearby woodlands to give her knowledge of the local wildlife. This swiftly developed her passion for the study and gathering of natural specimens and samples.As her curiosity and knowledge grew, however, her mother's health deteriorated, eventually leaving her bedridden as her daughter struggled to make ends meet in her stead. In her last moments, her mother grasped her shaking hand and spoke to her softly, telling her she was sorry she couldn't give her the luxury she deserved. Her dying wish was a plea for her daughter to see and experience the world as she had always wanted to, but couldn't afford to do. That night, with her heavy grief fueling her, T'lakshi had decided she was going to become a gleaner, determined to follow her mother's dreams and fulfill the promise she made.T'lakshi, only 18 years old at the time, spent months doing odd jobs and tasks around Gridania to gather up a reasonable sum of gil, limiting and rationing out her meals as her hard work began to pay off. With a reasonable amount saved up, she made her way to Limsa Lominsa to catch the boat to Old Sharlayan, exhaustion lacing her every step, but she refused to let it slow her down. Years went by after her arrival, and despite the trials she faced and the grueling work and study she was put through, she was finally the gleaner she dreamed of being, and began her journey traveling across seas and skies, making her mother proud at last.

Roleplay Info

• I've never done much roleplay within MMOs, beyond one or two awkward attempts at venues and within FCs. Please, be patient with me, as I may stumble, pause to think, or reply and act awkwardly. I am also a naturally shy, socially anxious, and introverted person, so I will inevitably struggle at some points in conversation.• WU/T's are fine if I'm using the RP tag, and if I am not, please /tell me to ask first! Social anxiety sucks and makes being suddenly approached very scary, even within a character roleplay setting, so always double-check!• No ERP or heavy flirting! While T'lakshi is single, I'm not really comfortable with sexual or flirty interactions outside of my own IRL relationship. Some light flirty banter is fine, but keep it to a minimum for my own comfort, please!• More information will be added when I become more familiar with FFXIV's roleplay scene and develop preferences and opinions.
